WHAT IS VISCERAL FAT?

Visceral fat is the fat that builds up in the deep layers of the abdomen, in which it involves the internal organs like the heart, liver, stomach, kidneys, intestines and pancreas.

This fat is considered the most dangerous for releasing inflammatory fatty acids, hormones and proteins, which too much in the human body can affect the vital organs' ability to function normally.

All of these actions can cause diabetes, increase the risk of heart attacks, reduce good cholesterol, increase bad cholesterol and even raise blood pressure.

Visceral fat has as main function to protect the organs of the digestive system, but when the level of this fat exceeds the limits is harmful to our health, as such the practice of healthy habits are of extreme importance, namely the regular practice of physical activity and a good food plan.
